This is a play over and over again CD. I highly

and the magic of his one-of-a-kind vocal style. This
CD is a magnificent soul-stirring treasure, and
every Reeves fan should add it to their music

Thanks to Larry Jordon and Voice Masters, this
is another release by 'The Master." it's
interesting to hear Jim on a false start say the
tempo isn't right, and he told everyone how he
wants it. I have all the RCA Jim Reeves gospel
albums, but this CD takes those songs and adds
new background, My favorite are thye songs where
they added strings. They were not in the
original on the albyms "God Be With You" and "We
Thank Thee." These songs where the strings were
added is in very good taste. They are light and
delicate, not overbearing, and justs adds to the
music, not take away from the music.. There are
some songs I miss not being there, but it still
is a fantastic CD.

The new features in this collection are the inclusion of Jim's inspired readings, false starts, chatter in the studio, etc. I treasure these songs so much that without a doubt I know that he has graced my life with such powerful reverential music. Jim was a man of deep faith and a firm believer in God. This is evident in many of his poetic recitations, readings, and songs where he invoked references to God freely. He brings out his emotion, passion and feeling in his singing. I love all the enhanced selections on this CD including the selection of the readings - however, I loved my favorite one “The Flowers, The Sunset and the Trees" - a definite crystal clear-cut version compared to the original RCA release which was so poor and pathetic. The lyrics are so powerful and true. Jim's voice work wonders in time of pain and grief - it unquestionably lifts one up. Thank you Larry Jordan for your untiring quest once again to soak us with another keepsake of Jim’s beautiful gospel collection with new add-ons that richly sparkle in every angle. Thanks to your team of dedicated and talented group of musicians who poured their energy on this collection tastefully remastering the tracks with the new tools of the day with added exquisite musical backings which resulted in Jim’s superb voice brought forward and clear as never before. hit versions. That is...until a few
years ago, when I bought my first Larry
Jordan produced, Voice Masters release
on Jim Reeves music.
All the songs had a new and carefully produced musical instrumental backing and the new arrangements were recorded so carefully and respectfully, so carefully staying inside the mold of tastefulness and the style, that Jim Reeves set for all his recordings, so many years ago. This new release from Larry Jordan, "Jim Reeves The New Gospel Recordings," has to be the new pinnacle of rearrangements in good taste for Jim Reeves music and gospel songs of Jim's era. Some of the cuts on this extended CD album are so impeccably well remastered and recorded, mixed and mastered that it instantly puts me in the middle of the studio mix, surrounded by all the new session musicians, as it also takes me beyond that spiritual veil, just over the Jordan River, where Heaven really starts! This new album of gospel music, puts me in Heaven, some of these tunes are redone so impeccably well, it sounds like Gods angel choir and band in Heaven, or what I think that would sound like, anyway!
