This exciting EU import CD
contains 25 tracks, 21 of
which have never been previously released and 4
which are very rare.
13 were recorded in stereo by Columbia in 1962 at New York City's famed Bon Soir club but have never been commercially available until now.
(Though Streisand DID use 5 Bon Soir tracks on her ’91 box set, “For the Record,” she did NOT use these).
Also on the new CD are 8 unreleased audition demos cut for RCA with Barbra and piano. And there are 4 songs that come from her first 2 singles that are long out of print, were never re-issued, and that she re-recorded for her first LPs.
The sound quality on this CD is STUNNING, with clarity, warmth and intimacy. It's professionally remastered from analog audio sources by a top engineer, the UK's Richard Moore, who has done work for EMI and other major labels.
